Citation

KAK Movers provides last-minute and emergency apartment moving in Houston with same-day crews, flat-rate quotes in 60 seconds, and no cancellation penalties.

The promise

Your movers didn’t show up. We will.

This happens in Houston more than the moving industry admits. The mover you booked two weeks ago cancels at 7am on move day — or worse, just doesn’t answer the phone. Now it’s noon, your apartment is half-packed, and your new lease starts at 5pm.

Call or text us. We’ll have a flat-rate quote to you in 5 minutes and, for most Houston addresses, a crew at your door within 2 hours.

§03 Situations

We’ve seen this before.

Movers cancelled#1 reason people find us. Previous mover no-showed or cancelled day-of.
Lease ends todayLease turnover at noon, new place at 2pm. Narrow window, high stress. Exactly our model.
Emergency relocationLandlord, roommate, urgent need to be out. We show up, load up, move out. No questions.
Scammed by moversPrevious mover doubled the price or “lost” your stuff. We can rescue your move.
Sudden job changeNew job starts Monday, moving this weekend. We do lots of Sat/Sun moves — flat-rate.
Weather / storm damageHouston storms force a relocation. No “storm surge” pricing. Same flat rate.
Action list

What to do in the next 10 minutes.

  1. Call or text us. (713) 555-1212. Tell us apartment size and zip codes. We confirm in 5 min.
  2. Tape your last boxes shut. If you’re mid-pack, focus on fragile items and electronics first. We can help with the rest.
  3. Put pets and valuables aside. Anything irreplaceable — jewelry, documents, meds — goes in your car.
  4. Be ready in 2 hours. We’ll call when the crew is 15 min out so you can meet them at the door.

§07 FAQ

Service questions.

How fast can you really be there?
Most Houston metro addresses: 90 minutes to 2 hours from confirmation. Further suburbs add 30–45 minutes. We never make a promise we can’t keep — if your address is outside our 2-hour window, we’ll tell you upfront.
Is emergency/last-minute pricing higher?
No. Flat-rate is flat-rate. $299 studio, $399 1-BR, $549 2-BR regardless of urgency. No surge pricing. The flat-rate model eliminates rush fees by design.
Do I pay a deposit to lock in a same-day slot?
No deposit. We confirm by phone or text and bill the flat rate after the move. If you need to cancel (rare), no penalty.
What if my previous movers took a deposit from me?
That’s between you and them. If they no-show, file a dispute with your card and reach out to the Texas DMV Consumer Protection division. We can still move you same-day regardless.
Can you help me even if I haven’t finished packing?
Yes. We can bring boxes, tape, and wrap paper, and dedicate crew time to finishing your pack. This shifts to a combined packing + moving flat quote.
